A rainbow baby is a term used to describe a child born after miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. These babies are stunning bits of promise after a storm, a collision of both sun and rain alike. Resounding with hope and promise, they appear after a monsoon of grief. As life breaks forth within, these little ones […]

So, BIG news this month. **Drumroll….** I have now learned that you can rent library books directly onto your e-reader! (Haha, you should see the look of disappointment on your face right now. Like, Liz, come on! That is definitely NOT big news. Quite the opposite. We’ve been renting books for years!) Fine. Not big […]

“Once We Were Strangers” is a story about the blossoming friendship between two men: Shawn and Mohammad, a writer and a Syrian refugee. This book is a tangible response to the age-old question, “Who is my neighbour?” and “How do I love them?” We live in a world where fear presides: where reports about shootings […]

Welcome!

Hi, I’m Liz! I am a writer, mama of eight (three in my arms, five in heaven), slurpee enthusiast, and avid reader. I started blogging after a stillbirth and four miscarriages, and am passionate about finding beauty within the stories we’ve been given. In addition to writing about all things faith, motherhood, and grief-related, I am currently working on my first novel.

As you dive into this blog, I pray that this will be a space where you’ll feel less alone. A place where messy and mundane collide into something to be savoured — and where we can journey through the triumphs and the sorrows together. May this be a place of laughter and hope, reflection and community.

Most of all, may this be a place where our stories continually echo the faithfulness and great, saving grace of Christ.

Welcome, friend. I am so glad you’re here.
